In 1947, the United Kingdom (UK) looked to Nigeria for assistance and support. The UK faced with many challenges immediately after World War 2, believed the post-war policies of the UK will have some effect on the Colonies and saw the need for collaboration.
Help was sort from the colonies, particularly Nigeria, to help grow the battered British economy, that will in turn benefit he colonies when conditions improve.
A Goodwill Mission of the National Council Of Nigeria And The Cameroons visited the UK to help.
A Public meeting organized by the Pan-African Federation Of Great Britain was held on the 9th September, 1947
"I feel sure that colonial people will want to understand the nature and extent of the present economic difficulties facing us, and in particular how they affect the colonial territories and what the colonies can do in collaboration with us to win through to conditions of greater stability and prosperity"

Today, Nigeria is seeking help and succour from the UK through the neo-colonial loans, aids and grants. The UK economy is one of the biggest globally while Nigeria has remained a dependent third world country, due to inept, wicked and corrupt leadership from 1960 till date.
Let our great past become the motivation that drives the present Gen-Z to demand a working Nigeria from the people in position of leadership.
